High West Bourye

Bobby Says: I don't usually like picking favorites, but if someone handed me a great bourbon and a great rye and told me I could only keep one, I'd probably cheat and reach for Bourye. This bottle combines two incredible whiskeys, each aged at least 10 years, into a pour that somehow captures the best qualities of both. It is one of those bottles that makes you smile before you even take the first sip. Every time I revisit Bourye, I'm reminded why it has become one of High West's most anticipated annual releases.

On the nose, you'll find Honeycrisp apple, caramelized peaches, honey butter waffles, toasted almonds, and dark chocolate. The first sip delivers maple-glazed doughnut, salted crème brûlée, candied orange peel, ginger, and seasoned oak before finishing with a beautiful balance of lingering sweetness, warming spice, and mature oak. Neither the bourbon nor the rye tries to dominate. Instead, they work together to create a whiskey that is rich, layered, and incredibly easy to enjoy. If you catch yourself trying to decide whether you like bourbon or rye better after this pour, you've completely missed the point. Just enjoy the glass.
